Ball chains, sometimes referred to as bead chains or pelline chains, do not have links like any other jewellery chains made from wire. Instead, they are composed of two components: wire rods and hollow beads. These wires are inserted into the hollow bead, and then given a bend to make sure that the beads will not slide out of the hole.
